The Story of Garrett Hotel Consulting
On a long-ago getaway to The Point in New York’s Adirondack Mountains, the property’s beauty and magical amalgam of architecture and landscape ignited a fascination and passion for hospitality in my wife Christie and I. When five years later The Point came up for sale, we bought it and changed the course of our lives and careers.
The Point became the genesis and driving force of the Garrett Hotel Group, and the first of a number of small, super high-end hotels we purchased, reconceptualized and renovated. Each one eventually ranked among the top hotels in the country, and two were “number one” for a decade each. Over the years, we were asked to advise in the creation of other properties, and so after selling our hotels in the 2000’s, we chose to focus on consulting, and use our over thirty years’ experience to help others create special and unique places.
Garrett Hotel Consultants LLC is one of the most experienced developers of small world-class hotels in the world. It is a family company with experience, talent, and passion. We love to work with property owners, from the earliest conception of a property to opening day and beyond; or to simply help re-envision a lackluster, outdated, or underperforming property and let owners take it from there.
